About this provider

We have a very diverse team of 62 NMH staff currently working in Plymouth for all campuses but also University College Weston, Bristol, Bath, Exeter, Newquay, Truro and St Austell. Support over 7 days a week including evenings. Specialists in all academic areas including humanities, science, maths and art subjects, including tutors to PhD level. Currently increasing coverage in Devon and Somerset.

We have an entirely student centred focus. All student allocations start with a discussion regarding potential tutors so that the allocation of staff is focussed to their needs regarding subject knowledge and all types of personal preference.

Sessions will be entirely individual to the students’ needs and timings are always flexible to include evenings and weekends. Ultimately our goal is to build skills and knowledge that aid in self-esteem and promote autonomous learning as the end goal of support.

All staff are selected for their exceptional abilities and experience; the management hold very regular meetings with all staff so that we can allocate them to students because we genuinely know them and their practice.

We use the Touch Point system for administration, which is easy for students to use, but also enables us to monitor engagement which we use with consent to liaise with disability teams to ensure students wellbeing and success.
